The fork on my bike had manufacturing issues, but Kona was being quite difficult on whether they would replace it. Straight Up Cycles' staff went the extra mile and handled the correspondences to solve and expedite the process of returning my bicycle to me.

I bought the parts for my bike from the shop that sold me the bike as they're the only distributor of parts for that brand. They're not good mechanics though, I'll just leave it at that.

These guys are great on repairs and custom builds, they have a great range of products from commuters to high end custom and are easy to deal with. Prices are good and they are open on Sundays.

Never had any issue with the staff or service! I've been here many times, and I've only ever had incredible experiences. Definitely worth the money, and there's a real welcoming feel here.

Great service, good prices. Unassuming, honest guys who seem excited about their sport and their work. None of the pretentiousness encountered in other local bike shops.

So I found straight up cycles on Google reviews. 5 stars and they seem like a small unassuming bike shop. I called them up and they said they could fix my bike by end of day (I was surprised) So I head over there with my bike that needs the front wheel adjusted and a few spokes need replacing, and my derailer mounting bracket needs to be replaced and my derailer needs to be remounted and adjusted. Not a ton of work but if you're backed up with other bikes then it's enough to put off for a while. Not so. I dropped my bike off with Steve and while he wasn't the most friendly person he seemed like he knew his job well. 3 hours later they call me to pick up my bike. They fixed everything that I knew was broken, plus they cleaned my bike off and made it presentable. He also cleaned up my rear brakes. All this for a very reasonable price of $35, I spent more money on the parts for the repair.

I recently came here for a bike ride in after I had a nasty spill on my ride home from work on Friday. It wasnt a huge amount of work that my bike needed but it was enough that many bike shops who were open for Saturday and closed Sunday said they couldn't get me in to repair my bike so it would be ready for Monday morning. My usual bike shop was unexpectedly closed for a month, and I'm very cautious about who I pay to fix my bike as there are some pretty crappy bike mechanics around town.

All in all, they seem like a nice small shop with good workmanship and they're reasonably priced for their repairs. A fast turnaround time and being open on Sundays is a bonus too. I'll definitely give them a shot again.
