  In an era of snobby hipster coffee shops (Victoria has more than a few) Imagine Cafe is an oasis of calm and genuine heart. Staff are friendly, food is good quality and home cooked, and most importantly the environment is relaxed, open, and funky. I find it very conducive to reading, working and chilling. Also a good spot for a first date!

  In another instance, I had my giant infant daughter with me in a baby carrier and the owner was blocking the sidewalk in an SUV. Rather than saying “excuse me!” Or “I’ll be right out of your hair!”, she gloomily said “I’ll need a minute”, apparently ignoring the fact that I am carrying a baby and it’s not easy carrying a coffee from YOUR store.

  This cafe is a hidden gem and as a designer I find the space inspirational, with the unique decor and beautiful art & craft instillations. The staff are all lovely and the coffee and teas are great. I love the little hand made mugs! I have tried some of there sweet treats too! - delicious!! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cosy and relaxed experience.

  Such a cool little cafe. Only two people working at the cafe so it's very relaxed. Good food, had a coffee and the avocado sandwich. Great service and strong coffee. Nice little patio outside and reclaimed decor inside. Such a great little spot.

  For me, employees can make or break how I feel about a place. I don’t think anyone has ever smiled at me in there, and on numerous visits I’ve been the first to say “hello!” (Which is often returned half-heartedly).

  I no longer recommend this place - I keep the rating at 3* because the coffee is really good, but the experience? I can get a more pleasant one from Starbucks.

  You might wait a bit for your food, and there are no 'artisan' donuts, but its worth it.
