The second time was for painting supplies, they lacked selection for whiz rollers, and only had small kits with roller cage, rollers, and trays available, I couldn't buy components individually. Again, there is space to do this properly, it's just not laid out efficiently. Too many useless repeat items line the shelves, and not enough selection.

Store was all right for organization, I think. Most of the sales associates seemed knowledgeable as well, but one of the older women in customer service was extremely rude to myself and my life partner. All in all, it's around a 2.5 star place. 50% good, 50% bad.

The third and last time I decided to come here was for electrical components. I was running BX wire to conduit boxes. I needed some 3/8" straps for the cable and 3/8" cable clamp connectors (for those of you who don't know electrical, 3/8" is your basic size for most household wiring) and of course, Lowe's didnt stock anything smaller than 1/2", but of course they had 2" stock, because everybody uses that all the time.

In summary: No contractor would shop here, ever. The selection in all departments is completely lacking. I thought that at least it could be a quick place to stop for weekend warriors instead of driving out to either home depot or real wholesalers, but they just didn't commit to stocking enough product in any department, therefore: They're useless, don't waste your time.

Update: I have since gone back to Lowe's to get a new dishwasher ordered for my apartment. The two gentleman I dealt with in Appliances (Rick and Gareth) were absolutely amazing. Communicated things clearly and followed up with me promptly. I ended up having to deal with the rude customer service woman with dyed hair again though.

I find this store in a convienent location.... but other then that there are so many reasons to drive 6km further to a store that has better service, reliable staff, way better prices, stocked shelves and exceptional customer service. The associates are not kind or knowledable. They price match but it’s so difficult to get it reduced that its more like price argue, none of their staff are authorized or trusted to complete a price match.... so you need to wait for a manager.... the lineups at customer service are always atrocious( likely because none of the staff are authorized to do anything). Ordering online is quick and easy but beware you have to pick up the item up at customer service where you’ll wait at least 15mins minimum. Lowe’s really makes you work for their sales. Instead of giving you the best sale out of all their promotions, you need to figure it all out before you get to the till since all their three day sales cancel out each other out and have a ridiculously large amount of small print. - so much easier to price match elsewhere! All and all I will be actively avoiding shopping at Lowe’s until something changes. I’ve never left the store feeling good about a purchase.

3 times I have come by here because it's close, and 3 times I have had to leave and drive to Home Depot to get the basic items I needed. Once was for lumber, I needed a couple of 2x8's that I hadn't accounted for on a job. They had nothing bigger than a 2x6 here (in untreated SPF) Their lumber area is large enough to have different sizes, it's just poorly laid out and obviously not staffed by people who know what they're doing.

Would be good if they could cut 12 foot moulding to allow easier transportation .....buying 12 feet is OK ....just provide chopping capability as the Depot does.

Fabulous as usual! My #1 go to shopping place! Love it. Make a point of coming here when I'm in Victoria.
