I debated on whether or not to give this four or five stars. For its small size, this is a lovely gallery that has changing exhibits, as well as ones that are there all the time like some Emily Carr works and some Asian prints. There is an exhibit of bonsai trees from a bonsai Club. There is also a beautiful little garden in the middle of the gallery that is worth a look. The old part of the gallery is in an old house and has some beautiful old paintings. One of the sad points of this gallery for me is that they do not exhibit more of the Emily Carr works that they possess. Apparently they don't have the room to do so and want to build a bigger gallery, but it's a shame that they don't cycle through some of the works more often so that they could be enjoyed in the meantime. There are public washrooms and a gift shop.

It is a small gallery, tucked away from main foot traffic areas. I like it because it is in an unexpected place and features mostly BC artists. It would be great to see more international work as well. Great gift shop, local artisans. Beautiful historic building. There administrative area was other well marked and we wandered upstairs by accident, were met with a bit of passive aggressive attitude from admin staff and a security guard, felt as if they thought we did it on purpose...anyway, they gotta get better signage!! Overall good quality of work in the gallery. Would live to see more aboriginal art featured!!

Gallery features art from around the world, some exhibits are interactive, others are hostess lead exhibits. It's a great place for learning about art and inspiring youngsters! Weekend workshops are offered for children and a gift shop on site lets guests take home a little piece of creativity!
