    Yesterday I tried them again. A taxi was booked to take my wife downtown to the dentist. The cab was late and my wife contacted the office. The clerk told her that the cab would be there in a few minutes.

    The taxi did not arrive. After five minutes she rang again. She was tol the cab would be there momentarily.

    Five minutes later my wife rang again and was told the driver was parked in a parking lot and could not find our address. She carefully detailed the directions and again confirmed our unit number ( we live in a complex of townhouses).

    My wife insisted that he take her as she was already late for her appointment. The driver was very reluctant, but finally agreed. He then told her he had only been given the address of the "complex" and no unit number.

    My wife was standing outside our home. She suddenly saw the taxi approaching and had to step into the road to wave it to stop. The driver said " another cab is coming Ihave been cancelled."

    Fortunately I was able to disprove the lie. I have security video cameras installed. I sent copies of videos taken at the time the driver claimed to have spoken to me. For several months I avoided using this company.

    A few months ago I booked a cab from Yellow cabs, Victoria. He was supposed to arrive at my home at 7 PM. At 7PM I rang to find out where he was. I was told he would be with me in a few minutes. I waited nearly ten minutes and he hadn't arrived. I contacted the taxi office again. I was told that the driver had arrived and was told I no longer needed the car, so it was cancelled.

    Dispatcher had 0 patience and was rude and interrupting constantly. I was put on hold for no reason and they hung up upon once I was on hold.

    I have used this company several times now, and EVERY time their electronic payment terminal is not working, failed, system is down etc. I find that an alarming coincidence since it has been at times months or years between uses of this company. Every time, without fail, the driver will insist on driving me to a bank close-by to my destination, and park at the ATM, all the while THE METER IS RUNNING. SO not only am I having to go out of my way to get cash, I am also being dinged the bank fee to withdraw at a non- credit union ATM, but worst, I am being charged for the inconvenience of having to do all of this. And I could understand if it was a one-off, but LITERALLY every time this happens. I won't be using their services in future, and a certainly hope others who do not carry cash will think twice about using them as well. At the very least, they should not be charging patrons/running the meter while they get cash to pay. Ridiculous.

    He rang back later and stated that our unit number was not in his system.i asked several times how this could happen. He kept repeating the "number is not in our system" but refused to explain why this could happen as in the telephone booking and the several calls to the office the information hadbeencarefully detailed.

    I have no clue why there is such bad ratings here. I use Yellow Cab on a regular basis for work and for pleasure. They have consistently been reliable (I rely on them to get me to the airport on time often), courteous, and respectful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone! And I'm grateful for their service.

    *only recieving one star as it is mandatory* Horrible receptionist/operators rude and impatient consistently hanging up on us when trying to confirm our cab was still coming after we had waited the estimated 30 min... then told we should just call a different cab company instead since our cab had already been canceled before hanging up on me for a last time >:( Never using this service again*
