  Minuses: the tub is nothing special. You will be dinged an additional $16/night for parking even though they don't tell you this when you check in. If you choose to eat the chocolates and drink the bottled water in exchange for skipping the daily towel exchange, house keeping will just ignore your room altogether.

  The Hotel is quite nice. Here are a few pluses and minuses. Pluses: Very nice rooms with access to the bathroom via the bedroom or the kitchen. Added ambiance and heat via the electric fireplaces. Nicely stocked kitchenette with an apartment sized fridge. Heated bathroom floor!

  Overall good experience - pros/cons discussed. Bear in mind, this was a half work-trip and half vacation trip for me. If you need a place to work outside of your room there is very little deskspace available. The business center, has ample space for more tables; however has only one desk for a printing station only - the hotel could easily fit another 1 or 2 small desks and chairs in this room for people needing a temporary escape from the noise or distractions in your room. If you plan on trying to sit in the several tables directly outside the 'business center' they will kick you out. If you come here with a family and required to do work look for somewhere else that will accommodate this. On the contrary, the room cleaning staff, house-keeping and the woman who drops off new chocolates and water are extremely cheery, friendly and helpful. If you need or are missing anything in your room they are extremely quick to bring things up. The kitchen is well stocked, and the rooms are very nice. The pool is a bit chilly, but swim a few laps and you'll warm up.

  The rooms are no mere hotel rooms. They're beautifully furnished one-bedroom, two bathroom Condominiums. The in-suite bathroom has a huge soaking tub! There's a kitchen fully stocked with all the cookware you need. There's even a washer dryer. Electric fireplaces add ambiance. Just two locks from the empress, museum, and all of downtown. The hotel has a big indoor pool, hot tub, as well as a complete spa. The $10 breakfast has make-your-own waffles, hard boiled eggs, pastry -- a good start to the day (or make your own in your kitchen). This is a lovely place to spend a weekend (or longer!)

  This hotel is absolutely wonderful. The rooms were a nice size, the location was perfect and we loved Cafe Fantastico downstairs. We are locals so it was extra neat to stay in our own town but within a hotel. We will happily come back for another special function and stay at the Parkside. We did a dip the in the pool which was nice. We have a toddler and overall our stay was great with her as well. Very comfy.

  Excellent. Love this place. It's the standard by which I measure all other aparthotels. Spacious, clean rooms. Clean and beautiful lobby. Walking distance to anything you want to see in the downtown and Harbour front areas.
