  Awesome gym. They are good about changing routes up to keep things interesting. Courses are offered here for people wanting to learn to climb. Fitness studio on site is a nice touch and allows for a more complete workout.

  Lovely spacious gym. Great music, usually in the vein of Alt-J or Tame Impala. On slow nights you can sometimes make music requests. Staff is helpful and friendly. 2 boulder walls. You’ll never feel cramped or dangerously close to other climbers here as routes are distinct vertical sections. Lots of room for lead climbing. Three auto belays.

  In all my years of being a climber, years of working with safety in high heights and the military, never before have I a come across such a dangerous disregard of logic presented as policy. It is a shame, it is a nice facility and the people working there are nice friendly people that would benefit from better leadership and management.

  Beautiful facility, but one staff member there is incredibly rude (I have a feeling it's the same person all of the other negative reviews mention). I have a pass to the Boulder's Gym to lead climb and much prefer the staff and atmosphere there.

  Those looking to lead, I would recommend the Boulder's out in Saanich, as it's set up better for lead climbing in my opinion. I may return in the future to top rope, but hopefully their grumpy staff member will be a bit kinder.

  If you're just looking to top rope, you'll absolutely enjoy Crag X, as it's more of a place for people looking to hang out and learn to climb in a very safety conscious facility.

  It's amazing. The staff are amazingly kind. My dad took the belaying test (which sadly I'm not quite old enough for) and it's better than a workout gym! I also love it because there is kid walls for kids to climb. Although once (my first time, a few weeks ago) there was a younger girl then me and she was wearing running shoes and my dad told me "Her dad isn't belaying properly". But I mean that's probably not the first time someone has done it here.

  It is perfectly clear the manager at this facility doesn't want people lead climbing here because of the risks involved, but does want the marketing value of presenting the gym as a lead climbing gym.
